UdderGuard introduces a smart, hardware-based solution to the pervasive and costly problem of udder frostbite in the global dairy industry. Current methods, such as increased barn heating, are energy-inefficient and fail to provide targeted protection. UdderGuard's innovative solution is a wearable, sensor-enabled heated wrap that maintains the cow's udder at a safe, optimal temperature of 37°C (98.6°F). This direct, prophylactic approach prevents frostbite, reduces the risk of mastitis, protects milk yield, and significantly improves animal welfare. The business model leverages high-margin hardware sales supplemented by an optional SaaS subscription for predictive herd health analytics. With a clear path to market and a focus on energy efficiency (estimated 80% savings over barn heating) and data-driven insights, UdderGuard offers a compelling value proposition. We are seeking $50,000 in seed funding to finalize the product, conduct pilot trials, and secure our first commercial contracts, paving the way for a healthier herd and a more profitable farm.
